Ontario Native Plants

ArboretumThe Native Plant List provides a brief list of woody plants native to Ontario and some sources for finding them. It is not exhaustive and only summarizes some readily available trees, shrubs and vines of use to homeowners and schoolyard naturalization projects.

Please note that the plants on this list are native in one or more forest zones of Ontario: Deciduous region, Great Lakes-St. Lawrence region and Boreal forest region. You should determine which are suitable for your area.
