Visitor Information

The Humber Arboretum presents a balance of ornamental gardens and diverse natural areas. It is dedicated to:

  • showcasing an extensive collection of woody and herbaceous plants
  • protecting and restoring habitat for native plants and animals
  • providing educational opportunities in horticulture and environmental stewardship

The Arboretum makes a unique contribution to life in the Greater Toronto area. Visitors to the Arboretum range from school children learning about the environment for the first time to adults enjoying a Sunday stroll. Humber College students also develop their skills here in a broad range of programs including Horticulture, Architecture and Public Relations.

Our programs include:

HOURS: The Humber Arboretum gardens and natural areas are open to the public year round during daylight hours.

ACCESS: Accessible by Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) and other public transit options. For more information about accessing our site via public tranist click here.

For more information about bicycle trails through the Arboretum and links to Toronto's other cycling routes look at Toronto Cycling Map 01 here. Bicycle racks are available behind the Centre for Urban Ecology.

Vehicular access via entrance "A" or "E" off Humber College Blvd. Follow the Arboretum signage to parking lot number 1 at the rear of the college.

DEER EXCLUSION FENCING has been installed to protect sensitive areas in the Arboretum. Gates have been installed on all applicable paths. Visitors are always welcome to pass through these gates, but please ensure that the gates close behind you.

PARKING: Parking is free. Obtain an Arboretum pass at the parking kiosk and proceed to parking lot 1.

First opened in 1977, the Humber Arboretum is a joint venture of the City of Toronto, Humber College and Toronto and Region Conservation.
